Twenty three years ago West Cape May began sponsoring The Lima Bean Festival. Today, not only is there a National Lima Bean Association, but there is also a Society for the Preservation of the Lima Bean, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to call attention to South Jersey's vanishing farmlands. The gala festival is held in Wilbraham Park, across the street from The Albert Stevens Inn, every year in October on Saturday of Columbus Day Weekend from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be great food, lots of vendors, antiques and entertainment.
