Strawberries mean summer in West Cape May and we love to celebrate the most luscious fruit of the season beginning at 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m., every year on the first Saturday of June at Wilbraham Park, right across the street from The Albert Stevens Inn.  Spend the whole day enjoying everything strawberry, from strawberry shortcake to every imaginable fresh strawberry treat.

Festival-goers can stroll through the park, listening to live music, while antiquing or searching for that perfect treasure from among dozens of homemade craft vendors.  It’s a fun filled festival for the whole family with plenty of free parking and free admission for all.

Summer is the most exciting time of the year in Cape May, offering visitors a variety of fun-filled activities.  Cape May hosts the Mid-Atlantic $500,000  the richest and largest Marlin –Tuna contest in the world.

 The Nature Center of Cape May and the Cape May Bird Observatory have wonderful programs for all ages with tours everyday in the summer.

Summer in Cape May is the best place to spend days at the beach windsurfing, kayaking, power sailing or just soaking up the rays and the scene.  The cool ocean breeze makes perfect summer days for bicycle riding, walking around town or taking a trolley tour of the historic Victorian Bed and Breakfast Inns.  Nearing the end of the day, drive or bicycle out to Sunset Beach for a spectacular sunset over the area where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Delaware Bay.
